HomeQuest’s ZipMEup program can provide you with the guidance and financial assistance you need to make home energy improvements. Loans are available to fund a variety of energy improvement projects, and we can refer you to certified energy auditors and technicians to help you save even more money.

Energy Audits

Once approved for the program, HomeQuest can help you find an Energy Efficiency Certified Auditor to evaluate your home, determine your home’s energy deficiencies and recommend necessary improvements.

Energy Improvements

After the certified energy audit has been completed, HomeQuest has money available to help you pay for improvements. We can also help you find an appropriate contractor to perform your home energy improvements.

Home Energy Improvement Loans *

Fixed Rate: 5.99% Annual Percentage Rate

Terms: Minimum Term- 1 year – Maximum Term- 10 years (based on loan amount)

Loan Amounts: Minimum $2,500 – Maximum $15,000

Loan to Value Limits: 90% Combined Loan to Value based on current tax value.  110% Combined Loan to Value based on full residential appraisal not more than 6 months old.

*Written estimates will be required for all work to be performed.  Funds will be held in escrow and distributed once work is completed.  Files must be underwritten to CCFC underwriting standards.  Loan will require documentation of income, tri-merge credit report and two month’s bank statements.  Title update will be required on all loans with CCFC in a minimum of second position.

Home Energy Rebates

Working in conjunction with Efficiency Maine, HomeQuest is able to assist residents with Efficiency Maine’s Home Energy Rebate Program. The program offers rebates of up to $2,000 for pre-approved energy efficiency projects. Get money back for improvements like:

• Air sealing*
• Insulation*
• Efficient heating systems
• Windows and doors
• Lighting and appliances
• Solar
